Irregular Choice Zevra - Zebra Heels.
Hello and welcome to a little bit of an unexpected blog post today. I didn't think I would be coming to you with any more Irregular Choice news until the next Disney launch but here we are.
Irregular Choice surprised us all yesterday morning by launching a mini collection at 9am - on a WEDNESDAY? Very out of sync for them I must say.
I think it took quite alot of people by surprise but for me personally it was a good surprise. It is full of everything I love, a new heel to talk about and animal related shoes.
So I'm sure you have guessed the name is in the title these Zevra shoes are based on the loveable zebra. One in more natural colours and one in a wild rainbow, sparkly pink colour.
The collection is quite a simple one in terms of styles, two heels, two flats and two bags one of each in each colour for those who love a good matching set!
I was a little torn on which one to get as I seem to be going through a perfectly pink phase at the moment but I stayed strong and went with the more natural black and white pair.
For me even tho its monochrome they stood out more than the array of colours on the pink pair and I thought I would be able to pair them with more outfits so that is a double win for me.
I'm quite excited to talk about the heel on these, those of you who read alot will know a love a new heel shape, even if its not a character heel and for this pair we have a new one again!
This is like the next generation perspex heel, alot more modern and interesting. The first thing you notice is the shape. It really is beautiful. Then when you get closer you can see that in this particular pair it is filled with teeny tiny little black and white balls which move around when you shake the shoe.
As always with these things when Irregular Choice does something new it excites me as the potential in where it could end up in a couple of designs time, this is the same for me with these heels, what else are we going to see from this shape or style?
Now onto the important bit for you all, sizing and heel height. The heel on these is an 8cm heel so around the mid height range, they do certainly feel comfy and not too high on your feet which is a good thing.
My only issue with these is that I went with a 40 which I usually do and again they are too big, I'm having to re-order the 39 today. So that is two pairs of shoes in two weeks which I have needed to size down on. Panicking a little that my feet had suddenly decided to shrink I have been trying on my older styles and they seem to fit no problem so I don't think its me.
I don't think you HAVE to size down in these but I certainly needed to. For those of you who are inbetween sizes I would go lower, but I think alot of people could get away with the same size, I just always prefer to have the shoes quite secure on my feet.
Anyway what do you think? Were you excited by the surprise shoes or not too fussed? I would love to know your opinions.
Thanks again for reading and I hope you enjoyed the blog.
stunning! can't wait to get mine :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Which colour did you go for? x
DeleteI’m obsessed and I managed to find someone who still had a brand new pair of the black ones in my size. I found the matching bag on mercari and it was also brand new with its tag.
ReplyDeleteZebras are my FAVORITE animal
